This is Getting Old

Woke up to cool temperatures and cloudy skies.  It was dry though, so all good.  Up to lunchtime all was unfolding well.  Lots of short steep hills but you know, they’re good for ya, right?

Then around lunchtime the rain started.  I have to admit I’m getting a little tired of the wet stuff.  I know, character builder.  By the time I reached the next town I was wet and chilled.  A nice long lunch and I definitely felt revived.  After a bit of reflection I decided to keep going to Chandler.  It was another 45k but the forecast said the weather would improve through the afternoon.  Not so much.  Rain, rain and did I say more rain.  By 6:00 I was pulling into Chandler wet, cold, tired and a bit fed up of the weather. Found a motel and called it a day.   I could really use a bit of good luck weather wise 🤞🤞.
