I could talk about our day. The rain, the route, the great food, Blah, blah, blah. You guys must be getting tired of this no? Maybe I am too.
The daily blog started many years ago now. My mom liked to keep in touch and it was a great way for her to experience what Lana and I were doing. Then after a while I started enjoying the journaling part of it. I really have never been a writer. To be honest, I hated writing in school and over the years, procrastinated any writing I had to do on the job. But somehow, after all the repetition, the writing became something positive. Reviewing my day and writing down what happened seemed to crystallize the memory. I like that, I’m doing this crazy trip, it would be kinda nice if I remembered it. So there you have it. A non writer who started writing.
Then after my mom passed my friends kept me doing it. This trip has been kind of special. First off, it’s way longer than any of my previous adventures. Also, since I’m raising awareness and money for the Indspire charity, it’s important to put myself out there. I know that, but it’s also for the first time, felt like a bit like work. What! Work, I thought I had moved on from that. I guess not.
So here we are. I thought today’s post could be a bit different. And by different I mean a bit off. Don’t worry. It can’t get worse. Can it😬
