Off the Mainland

I did not know.  Cape Breton is an Island.  Obviously I am from out west, duh!   This is actually quite cool.  I started this trip over a year ago, from an Island off the west coast of the mainland.  Now, here I am over a year later and I’m off the east coast and again on an island.  This time I have two Island to conquer: Cape Breton and Newfoundland.

First, let me apologize for yesterday’s post.  It was a bit weird.  Maybe I was just having a weird day, I don’t know.  Anyway, today, even though it was challenging, had me pumped.

We had an interesting day.  I guess tropical storm Chantel decided to provide us with some free cleaning services.  It certainly kept us on our toes.  But as seems to always be the case, we ended up in a nice little motel with a cool pub next door.  Got some great food and live east coast music to finish the day off right.  I’ve been wanting to visit Cape Breton for a long time.  So far, she is not disappointing me. 😎👍
