I’ve Got Gas!

Never in my life have I wanted to yell from the rooftops “I’ve got gas!”  Well after several days it finally happened.

My original plan was to ride to Le Bocage a little lake town about 60k down the road.  The ride was pretty easy and by 11:00 I was in town.  They have a coffee shop too. Big Win for me.  After several hours of hanging around town I decided to ride the 6k out to the campsite.  Wouldn’t you know it l, closed.  Man, I sure have hit this a lot lately.  The front desk did get permission for me to stay. Very nice of them.  Unfortunately no bathrooms and no water.  It was only 2:00 so I decided my best option was to move on.  It was about 60k to Rivière De Loup and I still needed gas so it seemed like the obvious choice.  Luckily the trail was pretty good and I managed to hit Canadian Tire 10 minutes before closing.  Love it when a plan comes together.

Even though this place is off my route I’m impressed.  Cool little town and an amazing campground right here.  Lots of places out west had town campgrounds.  This is the first one I’ve experienced in Quebec.   Such a cool place over looking the St Laurence.  I think I’ll take a rest day here. 🤔
