Even Wet Days can be Great

The forecast over the last couple of days has not been stellar.  For whatever reason, 🙏, I have dodged the bullet.  The forecast has been wrong and it’s come close to rain, but it’s held off.  How good is that.

Well today the inevitable happened.  All day it looked like rain but luckily it seemed to hold off.  Then in the late afternoon the rain started.  I stopped and checked out my situation.  Still 20k until the campsite I was aiming for.  Did I really want to set up in the rain?  After a little research I found a hotel that looked good.  Only 14k down the road.  Off I wet.

I arrived well and truly drenched.  Nice place, owner super nice, looked like the perfect spot.  I asked if their restaurant was open.  Unfortunately not.  He started telling me where the local restaurants were.  Then he stopped himself and said, come back at 6:00 I’ve got supper for you.  Sure enough I had a nice beer, salad and amazing fish cakes.  Even had a 2nd beer for dessert.  He brought out the leftovers too, since he thought I needed them.  And what did he charge me.  $24, wow, I can’t get two beers for that.  Man I love Quebec.
