2 Weeks 2

Well, it’s now only two weeks away. The continuation of the bike ride is almost here. Excitement, anxiety, apprehension, foreboding, now that’s a bit much. I have been busy organizing everything and as usual there never seems to be enough time to prepare. In the end you go for it and adjust as necessary on route. It’s not like I am heading to the moon.

As I am sure you are all aware, I am working with the Inspire charity. My thought was to continue with my fundraising this summer. One of my ideas was to try and spread the word by doing some presentations about the adventure so far. I thought, mmmm, maybe people would be interested in the trip and that could spread the word about the charity and how we all could be “ a force for change”.

So it’s going pretty well actually. I am doing my first presentation at Spartan Controls in Calgary next week. They have been so kind to have made a generous contribution to the Indspire charity. Thanks so much, what a great company. Also, I am doing another presentation at MEC Calgary on Saturday 24th of May at 1:00pm. Come join me for the one hour ride review from Victoria to Ottawa. Just so you know, it’s started already. 🤯

What you may ask? The kindness of complete strangers. As part of my adventure I was planning on advertising my adventure on all the bulletin boards I meet along the way. Trust me, it we be a lot. Maybe get some more exposure for the charity was the thought. Well I needed some posters printed and sure enough, Char at the Fernie Printing Company wanted to help. She gave me a discount on the printing and I payed it forward to Indspire. What a great way for everyone to win. Thanks Char.
